The Rochester Movie Makers Summer Video Challenge is in full swing. We already have 8 Team Captains who are volunteering to coordinate making up to 8 ten minute short videos that you can be part of in July.

We continue with more Screenplay readings at the next RMM Membership meeting June 19th at the Brighton Library. Screenplays need to be 10 pages or less and properly formatted to be considered. See the rules for the screenplays at:

Remember, its first come first served. We can read up to 10 screenplays at the June Meeting. The meeting starts at 6:30pm at the Brighton Library, 2300 Elmwood Ave.
The best screenplays, as voted by RMM Members will be chosen to be produced in July and shown in August!

The RMM Video Challenge will be a ton of opportunities for both experienced and inexperienced actors/directors/camera people/lighting/editors etc. to work in July and August with new teams of video and film makers.
To participate, keep your schedule in July as clear as possible for evenings and weekends. RMM will be posting the acting/crew auditions and call times as they become available at the Rochester Movie Makers Forum, www.rochestermoviemakers.org/forum and email notification

Bret Burt is looking for help with directing a documentary June 20th-22nd. He has access to a singer, Carolyn Wonderland from Texas and permission to use her work/interview for a short documentary. If you want to help, call Brett at 585-208-0678 or gr8fulbrett@yahoo.com
Image Out is accepting local short film/videos of 10 minutes or less for this year’s Local Filmmaker competition. To qualify, the short needs to be of interest to the GLBT community. You do not have to be gay to submit a project. For more information, contact imageout@rochester.rr.com. Deadline is July 1.
Nate Sorrentino is planning for more filming next week still, on the 10th and 11th, from late morning until late afternoon, same location (55 Ashley Drive Rochester, NY 14620). For those of you who can make it as extras, please wear agent-like clothing (leather jackets, trench-coats, camouflage, stuff like that, and a few bucks for pizza or whatever unless you already have lunch before you arrive.
