Rochester Movie Makers Announces
First Annual Rochester Summer Video Challenge!

Here are the Official and REVISED ABCs of the RMM Video Challenge:

This summer, Rochester Movie Makers, The RMM Video Challenge is designed to help local talent and crew become part of a video/film making teams. Find out who the good aspiring directors in the city are, learn the strengths of the best actors, producers, camera operators, etc. Film making is team work. This is a way to start learning about talented people in the area that can be part of your team.

o Screenplay and Video Challenge announced via Press Release May 9, 2008 and notification via email to members.
o 5-10 page Screenplays are submitted and chosen in May and June. FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. Only one script reading per writer. All submissions must include signed Screenplay Release. (See attached).
o Members vote. All members have one vote. Voting members get 4 additional votes (5 total). Team Captains get 5 additional votes (up to 10 total if they are also a Voting Member)
o Team Captains signed Leaders Agreement by June 19th
o Signed Team Captains have screenplays by June 22nd
o Video shooting completed by July 31st
o Editing/Post in August
o Final Projects are presented at August RMM Meeting (tentatively August 21st)

The RMM Video Challenge will require some time, patience and commitment on your part. If you commit to anything in the Challenge, you should clear your calendar as much as possible for evening and weekend meetings in July. You pass the class for showing up. As Spencer Tracy said, just show up, know your lines and dont knock over any of the furniture.
